SpongeBob and Patrick are happily spending the afternoon whispering messages into bubbles and blowing them to each other. Squidward gets annoyed by this and makes his own bubbles that include insulting messages. After hearing these messages, Spongebob and Patrick end their friendship. However, they both become Squidward’s friend. Annoyed, Squidward tries to get the two to become friends again.

SpongeBob has to go to boating school and keeps failing his driving test due to his habit of freaking out when the driving part of the test comes up. He tells Patrick about the problem and Patrick says that he will help him by sticking a radio in SpongeBob’s head and tells him what to do. During the test, Spongebob learns that he is cheating, and his habit of freaking out catches up to him again.

October 18th, 2008Season 2
Patrick and SpongeBob have to take care of the Mermalair while Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are on vacation. SpongeBob and Patrick are doing fine until they accidentally set Manray, one of Mermaid Man’s nemeses, free from suspended animation. They try to teach him to be good by training him with a tickle belt that was installed on him in an episode of The Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. In the end, he manages to convince SpongeBob and Patrick that he has reformed, and they remove the belt, but afterward he immediately goes off to do evil. However, Manray still feels the effects of the belt whenever he has the urge to do evil, so he surrenders to SpongeBob and Patrick and gives them his mask. A headless Manray wishes them well and walks off into the horizon.

he Krusty Krab begins hosting stand-up comedy nights, with SpongeBob being one of the talent. His routine completely bombs right out of the box, with very bad jokes about aspects of his job as a fry cook. He saves himself by telling jokes about squirrels, which has the whole town cheering for the little yellow guy, but also makes Sandy the target of mistreatment by all Bikini Bottomites.

SpongeBob buys a new TV but just the box so Patrick and him can play in it. Squidward takes the TV, but cannot concentrate due to SpongeBob and Patrick playing with their “imagination” outside in the box. Squidward thinks they are acting dumb, but he keeps hearing realistic sounds though the box is stationary. One night he sneaks into the box to figure out how they were making those noises, and in resignation he pretends to drive a race car, and the sounds he hears are realistic. In actuality, the box gets lifted by a garbage truck and gets taken away to a dump.
