October 18th, 2008Season 1A customer asks for a pizza from the Krusty Krab, so SpongeBob and Squidward are sent to deliver it. Squidward tells him to back up, but he doesn’t know how to drive, and the lever is written in Korean. Unfortunately, Spongebob gets them lost, and now they can’t find their way back to Bikini Bottom! SpongeBob claims he can drive a rock back home, but will Squidward come along for the ride?

Nematodes come to town and eat SpongeBob’s house. SpongeBob unwillingly decides to move back with his parents, but Patrick, tearful at the thought of seeing his best buddy go, tries to do anything he can to keep SpongeBob from leaving.

Sandy tells SpongeBob about Christmas traditions, and he then relays the event to everybody in Bikini Bottom. The town becomes convinced that Santa will come and grant their wishes. SpongeBob and Patrick then go to decorate their end of Bikini Bottom with festive decorations. On Christmas Eve, Bikini Bottom gathers around Squidward’s fallen “Coral Tree” and sings Christmas Carols in anticipation of Santa. When Santa fails to come, SpongeBob becomes riddled with sorrow, and Squidward revels in remorse. He makes up for mocking SpongeBob’s belief in Santa by giving away everything he owns, posing as Santa. The real Santa appears and Squidward questions his sanity. There are two gags in this episode: one being Patrick’s reference to Santa as “like a genie!”, the other being Patrick ripping his paper.

The Krusty Krab makes a commercial, starring Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and Pearl. SpongeBob is in it, too, but only the very top of his head can be seen from the dining area, and only his chest is seen on a close-up of a Krabby Patty. When he heads to work the next morning, SpongeBob is completely convinced that his few seconds on TV would make him a star to many, even though his face was never seen, and the inflation of his ego gets in the way of his kitchen duties.

Mr. Krabs loses his first dime, and accuses Squidward of stealing it. Furious, Squidward quits, and sets out to make his dreams of becoming a star come true. However, his pursuit fails to see anything new happen to him, and he becomes homeless in the process. SpongeBob lets him move in, but Squidward quickly takes over.
