The episode starts with Gary begging SpongeBob to get up to feed him. Gary then finds this green fungus on the ground and starts eating it. SpongeBob tells him to stop it, even if he is a bottomfeeder, and SpongeBob gets a towel to wipe it up. It won’t wipe up, but instead spreads onto SpongeBob and keeps growing bigger as the day grows on.
